How New Is New?

I was planning on writing about the new spa treatment of fish in a bowl nibbling on patrons’ feet. Lo and behold, there is an article in The Baltimore Sun’s Web site on Sunday. How wonderful! Left scrambling, I’ve narrowed down my choices to two possibilities: a sanitizing grocery store cart and some innovative applications in dental research.
But, just how new is new? The grocery cart has a number of press releases that have been indexed by Google, but is a press release enough to make it old news? Even if was dated three days ago?
Admittedly, the cart interests me more, but I have more (inside) information about the dental research applications. A conundrum indeed.

Yeah, I don’t think I get it either. There has to be at least a couple articles on our subject or else how would we write about it? Gather information about it? I mean unless we are supposed to write about something really under a rock and obscure…is that the point? I thought the assignment was description…to describe something, but all this stress about finding something cutting edge that hasn’t been written about yet…I’m perplexed too. See my blog…I guess my two options are probably not relevant per our discussion?
I agree; this is one hard assignment. I brought some magazines on Sunday to see if there were any new and innovative products out in the market. Most of the products weren’t even in the market yet or they were already out in the market with a some write ups about them. I did find one website that has a lot of different gadgets, but a lot of them haven’t been really introduced to the United States. I believe it’s true when everyone say’s I am thinking to hard about this project and I think everyone else is having the same problem.
This assignment is driving me crazy!! I have settled for something I hope is new enough, but we will see. I hope we all can get it done on time.
I feel the same way. I am planning to do either two things. The expiring DVD or a new technology to hearing aids.
I agree that this project is hard.I spent time online and at the library. Then it hit me. Building projects are new. They have never been done before. I found something new and interesting. Check out my blog to see what it is. http://www.micacreations.blogspot.com
